Christmas

“On coming to the house, they saw the child with His mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.” Matthew 2:11

Christmas can change your life! Just as Jesus Christ was born in a stable 2,000 years ago, so He can live in our hearts each and every day when we ask Him in.

Jesus Christ is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords! When He was born in the city of Bethlehem over 2,000 years ago, He was born to a poor family. The Lord of the universe chose to come to earth in humility and to live as a common person among us. He was born in a stable where animals lived because there was no room for them in the inn.

Yet this same Jesus is the magnificent Son of God who will someday return to earth in splendor and glory. After Jesus was born, there were wise men — sometimes known as kings — who came from the east of Bethlehem to worship Jesus. They were miraculously guided by a star, and came to Jerusalem where they asked, “Where is the One who has been born king of the Jews? We saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.” When they were told that it was prophecied that the Ruler would come from Bethlehem, they went there and found Jesus. When they found Jesus, they knelt down and worshipped Him, and gave Him gifts of gold and precious spices.

Even today, wise people still seek Jesus. When you seek Him, you will find Him when you search for Him with all your heart. This Christmas, I invite you, just as the wise men did, to worship Jesus. Invite Him to be both your Savior and your Lord. Even the kings of the earth will someday bow down and worship Jesus Christ. Let’s begin today!

So, this week, let us pray
  • Worship Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord each and every day
  • Ask God to bring people from all over the world to come to know Jesus Christ as Savior
  • Ask God to bless our staff at Global Media Outreach as we seek to reach more people for Jesus Christ
THANK YOU for your prayers. Just as the wise men gave gifts of gold and precious spices, let us give Jesus Christ our hearts and our lives this Christmas. Jesus Christ is the true meaning of Christmas; let us praise and thank and worship Him together!

May God bless you,

Christmas

“For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end...” Isaiah 9:6, 7

This is the time of year when we celebrate Christmas — the time when Jesus was born!

Christmas can be a wonderful time, for it reminds us of the tremendous gift of Jesus Christ to us. God knew we needed a Savior, so He sent His Son Jesus Christ to be born in Bethlehem in Israel for us. Jesus was born over 2,000 years ago. It was a time when the Roman empire ruled much of the world.

An angel appeared to a virgin named Mary and said to her, “Greetings, you who are highly favored. The Lord is with you...Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a Son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High...The Holy Spirit will come upon you , and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the Holy One to be born will be called the Son of God.” (Luke 1:28, 30-32, 35)

This Son of God is our Savior Jesus Christ. Let us rejoice this Christmas — and every day of the year — that God sent His Son Jesus Christ to be born, and to live, and to die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. You can have Jesus Christ as your savior today and always when we sincerely ask forgiveness of our sins and ask Christ into our hearts to be our Savior and Lord.

So, this week, let us pray that
  • God will send the message of the birth of His Son Jesus Christ throughout the whole world
  • People everywhere will come to believe in Jesus
  • God will protect and bless our staff at Global Media Outreach
  • God will provide finances so we can reach even more people for Jesus Christ
THANK YOU so much for your prayers. Let us rejoice together in the birth of Jesus Christ — and let us thank God for the most wonderful gift of His Son.

May God bless you,

Thanking God

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” Colossians 3:15

But all around the world, we don’t need a special holiday to do this; we can give thanks to God each and every day. Just think of some of the things we can thank God for:
  • Thank God for sending His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins
  • Thank God that He loves us
  • Thank God that He is gracious and merciful and kind and loving
  • Thank God for the air that we breathe and the food that we eat
  • Thank God for family and friends
  • Thank God for financial provision
  • Thank God for health
  • Thank God for sending His Holy Spirit to live in our lives as Christians
  • Thank God for forgiving our sins when we accept Christ as our Savior
  • Thank God for the gift of eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord
  • Thank God for the church and for other Christians
  • Thank God for being able to worship Him
“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.” We have so much to thank God for. So, this week, let us join together and
  • Thank God for the gift of Jesus
  • Thank God for the gift of loved ones
  • Pray that God will bless and protect your loved ones and our staff here at Global Media Outreach
WE ARE THANKFUL FOR YOU! When you join with us in prayer, we are linked together as brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ. May God bless you this Thanksgiving season and always

May God bless you,

God Loves You

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

God loves you! What does this mean? God’s love for you is so much greater than our human love. We say we love people “if”... Or “because”... God just loves us “period.” He loves us when we are sleeping; He loves us when we are little children; He loves us even when we do things that are bad.

God loved us so much that, even when we were sinners, He sent His Son Jesus Christ to suffer and take the punishment that is due to us. Would you send your own child to take a punishment he did not deserve? But God loves us that much.

So if you are discouraged, know this: God loves you. If you are out of money: God loves you. If you are sick: God loves you. If you are in good health: God loves you. And He loves you so much that He wants the very best for you. He wants you to be holy — to be conformed to the image of His Son. He wants you to be with Him someday in heaven. He wants His love to flow through you to others.

You cannot conceal your sins from God, so don’t even try. Confess your sins to Him; ask His forgiveness in the name and power of Jesus Christ; sincerely ask Jesus Christ to be your savior; and God will forgive you. God loves you and He knows what is best for you. Entrust your ways to Him, and He will lead and guide you on the path that is best for your life.
  • The whole world will come to know the love of Jesus Christ
  • God's love will shine through you to others this week
  • God will protect and bless our staff and volunteers here at Global Media Outreach
May God bless you,

What Is Your Source Of Joy?

"The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control." Galatians 5:22

What is the source of your joy? Joy is more than just temporary happiness. Real true and lasting joy is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit in your life.

True joy comes from Jesus Christ. It does not depend on your circumstances. I once visited the prison cell in Rome where one of the early apostles was held almost 2,000 years ago. The cell was dark, and cold and small. The Apostle Paul, when he was in prison in Rome, wrote to his fellow Christians, "Rejoice in the Lord always! Again, I say, rejoice."

How could someone rejoice in such terrible circumstances? He was in prison; in danger of losing his life; not free to go and to see those he loved. The reason he could rejoice is that he knew that Jesus Christ lived in his heart and life; and that Jesus Christ alone is King and Lord over sin, and death, and the devil. Even death itself could not rob Paul of his joy, because when he died he knew he would go to heaven and be in the presence of God forever.

So are you discouraged about your circumstances? Are you afraid? Are you uncertain about tomorrow? God knows the future. He holds your life in His hands. He loves you. Nothing can separate you from His love. So rejoice!

This week, let us pray that
  • Others will see Jesus in us -- that the Holy Spirit will fill our hearts and lives with the joy of Jesus Christ
  • God will fill the world with His presence -- and that Christians everywhere will be filled with His love and joy
  • God will protect and keep our staff at Global Media Outreach and fill us with His joy

THANK YOU so much for your prayers. We are thinking of having a place on www.iChristianLife.com where you can post prayer requests and can pray for the needs of others. If you like this idea, please hit "reply" to this email and tell us your thoughts. You can in your reply ask for prayer and one of our volunteers will pray for you. May God bless you!

Be Strong In The Lord

“…I am convinced that neither death nor life…neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38, 39

“Be strong in the Lord.” What does it mean to be strong in the Lord? It does not mean physical strength it means spiritual strength.

When we are strong spiritually, we know who we are in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, has overcome sin and death and hell. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, He then lives in us spiritually, and we live in Him. The Bible says we are “seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”

So sin does not need to be victor over you because greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. Fear does not need to rule you because Christ’s perfect love casts out fear. Even death does not have victory over you because if you have accepted Christ, you will go to heaven when you die.

No matter what faces you, ask God for His strength and His peace and His victory and you can overcome. Nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
So this week, let us pray that

* God will help you and us to overcome all sin and temptation in our lives through Jesus Christ
* God will help Global Media Outreach to reach even more people for Jesus Christ and will fill our staff with His Holy Spirit
* God will help you and us to love even our enemies in Christ’s love

THANK YOU so much for your prayers. God loves you very much. We are so glad to be part of God’s family together.

May God bless you,

My Peace I Give You

(Jesus speaking) “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid...I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 14:27, 16:23

You can have God’s peace in your heart no matter what your circumstances! You see, God’s true peace comes from having Jesus Christ as your Savior. When you ask Christ to be your Savior, He comes and lives in your heart. That means the King of Kings and Lord of Lords lives in you! You have the assurance of eternal life.

It is as if storms are raging outside, but you can be safe and secure inside a wonderful castle. In much the same way, life can have its storms. Jesus said “In the world you will have troubles, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” The fruit of the Holy Spirit in your life is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. The apostle Paul wrote about this; when he wrote there were many troubles in his world. Yet he said that the Christian could still have great victory because of Christ in our lives.

So if you have troubles, you can pray to God to take the troubles away; sometimes God will answer right away, but sometimes troubles may be with you for a while. Even if the troubles do not leave, God can give you His peace even in the midst of troubles. Ask God to help you see things from a heavenly perspective — where someday all the trials of earth will be gone and we will be in God’s presence forever. God can give you peace even in the midst of a storm.
So, this week, let us pray and ask God

  • To give us His peace even if there are storms about us
  • To help us at Global Media Outreach reach millions more people with the gospel of Jesus Christ
  • To keep our staff at Global Media Outreach safe in every way
THANK YOU so much for your prayers. Each time you feel stressed — you can come to Jesus Christ and ask Him to fill you with His peace and His joy and His love. Christ in you is the hope of glory.

May God bless you,

Walk Humbly Before Your God

“He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8

“Walk humbly before your God.” What does it mean to be humble?

Being humble is the opposite of being proud. Pride says “I have done it all myself.” Humility says “Every good gift I have was given to me by God.” Pride says “I am the king of the world.” Humility says “Jesus Christ is King of Kings and Lord of Lords and I am His servant.”

Pride says “I am the best.” Humility says “Let me prefer others above myself and give to others.” Pride and selfishness say “It is all about me.” Humility says “My time on earth is short; let God love others through me.” Pride says “What has been given to me is all for me to use and enjoy.” Humility and love say “What has been given to me is for me to bless others as well as to enjoy.”

It is not easy being humble. The Bible says, “Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death — even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:5 - 11

So, this week, let us pray and ask God
  • To help us love Him and love others and be humble and not proud
  • To think of others more than ourself
  • To bless and keep and protect the staff team at Global Media Outreach
THANK YOU so much for your prayers. God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life. God knows everything about you and He loves you so much He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for your sins and my sins. You can go to bed every night knowing that our Father in heaven loves you very much.

May God bless you,

Praise The Lord

“Praise the Lord. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise Him!” Psalm 147:1

Jesus said the two greatest commandments were to " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' "

So when we go to church or spend time with other Christians, let us not just think of ourselves; let us think of how we can love God and love others. How can we express love to God? One way is at church to sing and praise Him and thank God for all our blessings. We can praise God for who He is and also for His wonderful works in our lives. We can also express love to God for caring for those who are poor and unfortunate and needy. Jesus said “’I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for Me.’”

At church and other places, we can also love others as ourselves. You can teach Sunday school; you can care for children. You can pray for others. You can serve in many ways. Even Jesus Christ, who is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, came and served and ministered to others. So when you go to church or to spend time with other Christians, ask God how you can help be a blessing to them.

So, this week, let us pray that God will
  • Help us know how to express love to Him
  • Help us be a blessing to others in church and everywhere
  • Protect and fill our Global Media Outreach staff with His Holy Spirit

THANK YOU so much for your prayers as we seek together to serve our wonderful Lord and reach the world for Jesus Christ.

May God bless you,

Why Should You Go To Church

“For He Himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility...” Ephesians 2:14

Why should you go to church, if there is one near you, or gather with other Christians? Here are 7 reasons for you to consider.
  1. God wants you to connect with other Christians.
  2. You can learn from godly teaching and become a stronger Christian.
  3. You can worship God and bring Him honor and glory as you worship Him in the congregation.
  4. You can learn how to study the Bible from others
  5. You can get to know other Christians who can affirm you and help you.
  6. You can give to God, both financially and in serving others within the church.
  7. Your family can grow as Christians.

Will your church be perfect? Of course not; because the church is made up of people, and all of us are not perfect. However, we are forgiven in Jesus Christ; we can be filled with God’s Holy Spirit; and, even though we are not perfect, the Bible says we as the church will be the bride of Christ. So if Jesus Christ loves us in spite of our imperfections, let us all love God and love others as we seek to serve Christ together.

So, this week, let us pray that

  • God will spread His peace and joy and love through you in Jesus Christ to the world around you
  • God will help you to be a blessing to Him and to others at church and everywhere
  • God will protect our staff at Global Media Outreach and fill us with His Holy Spirit

THANK YOU for your prayers. Someday we can meet in heaven and rejoice in all that Jesus Christ has done in your life and in ours. In the meantime let us pray together that God’s kingdom will come on earth as it is in heaven.

May God bless you,

FRIENDS
